Saturday-
It was Series 3 at NYP. It was my first time competing there. I didn't even know they had a track. But after that day, I knew they were hiding it. Well, I guess it was a good thing they had it there, not that far from my place. If not NYP its either at Gombak or ITE Simei.
The place wasn't that bad, the school is huge! When I first reached the track, I was looking for the pit. In a normal setting at the track, the pits are usual at the sides of the track, the straight lanes. But NYP, it was special. I wasn't anywhere near the 400m track. It was on a hill. Im serious.
I had to actually, climb up a small hill to get to the pit. The other coaches were joking with me that I will be jumping in higher altitude due to the different ground level. And the pit was somewhere at the end of the hill. The best part was the runup track, it was hiding behind tall trees and right beside the jungle. I really did felt like Alice in the wonderland.
At night, I had dinner with bro at united square. Its been awhile since I saw him and it was my first time meeting him after he got in to NS.
Sunday –
Lepak day..i was at the East the whole day. Went to Grandma’s place and had a good repair to my ankle. Later in the afternoon went to meet him at bedok. I am proud to say that I survived the whole afternoon at Persisi. It was the finals and managed to watch couple of the familiar faces during the fight. However, the fight btw shasha against the NTU dude was awesome! I think I wana come down when ever he has comp. can I ?hehe. The atmosphere at the hall was encouraging as everyone was cheering and hitting the drums. Something you can never find on the track.
With the huge crowd that made out of mostly tertiary students. There were couples of good-looking people around. heheh..the millennium dude !
Had dinner at Bedok Point before we head home. (:
