this weekend, ive spent my time under the sun at Bishan stadium for 2 days.
started with triple jump on the first day and long jump on the second day.
i guess from today onwards, the officials would have grudges on me.
it seems as though im always caught in the middle of the argument between officials and coach.
it was super kecoh laa..thats why we athletes sometimes dont respect these officials. i seriously think they should have role models from officials from other countries like the UK or even Thailand. thai officials are nice. though we face language barrier but that doesnt cause any tension between athletes, officials and coaches.
this year's NJ 2011 seems rather relax. the feeling of the whole competition atmosphere seems to be gone. i could remember back when i was in sec 1. we were competitive like crazy. trying to get into top 8. tension everywhere. but this time around, everyone was very relax. smiles and jokes were in the air. well, thats me, i make joke and break the tension. i guess some people might think im such a nuisances being all so noisy and not focusing but thats my style.
besides that, competing at Bishan brings back memories during my primary school days. when the whole stadium was filled with primary school kids cheering one another in the track events. always taking note NEVER to seat near the girls school as they scream really loud and high pitch which can cause hearing damage. sighhh...those were the times.
for both days, my dear has been there supporting my from the stands. though timing could be a problem, he was there no matter what. today, mama was at the stadium too(just for today)..
he is like my second coach. helping me by giving feedback on my jumps.he has been watching me jump since last year and he comes down to most of my local meets.
sometimes, i do miss watching him doing his Silat stuff. well, i only managed to watch him once, but because of NS, he's not active. but i hope he gets back from where he left off even though it would be rather difficult for him to fit in again. (i guess).
Choo-Choo~! :)
